PAT testing
Over a period of time it is reasonable to expect that electrical appliances deteriorate. By law it is our duty of care to identify wear and tear and regularly maintain, to an optimal standard, each individual product or component that we hire out or receive for maintenance and repair.We use PAT – Portable Appliance Testing – a lawful procedure laid out by the Health and Safety Executive that ensures the safety of all electrical appliances through maintenance checks. To that end, we will only purchase, hire out and advise on systems that are CE-marked, proof that, as new, they complied with the European Law Voltage Directive.
As the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 state: ‘As may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, such danger.’ With which we comply.
